I enjoyed this book, I am a sucker for second chance love stories.

I just didn't love this book and while it is well written, it just didn't grab me like the Nexus series did.

I spent a good portion of the book trying to figure out what caused Cam and Charlotte break up in the first place. And even when the truth came out, I was still confused.

I thought the mystery portion of the story was much more riveting than the romance. The only real love scene in the book comes near the very end and seemed to come out of the blue. I am not complaining - but it seemed like it was just thrown in for the heck of it.

From this point on, the rest of the story just flies by. The mystery is wrapped up in literally a few pages and the book just ends.

I realize that this is the first in the series and it appears that these two will be in the next book, but I would have liked a bit of closure between them before moving on to their next adventure.

I will most definitely read Night Rain when it comes out and I hope it focuses on Jules.

I'm usually not a huge fan of historical romance and I've never read any book by Tracey Devlyn. However, since I'm on the Dangerous Darlings street team of which Tracey Devlyn is one of the authors featured, I decided to give it a try when Tracey offered a copy of Night Storm for review. And I've gotta say I did enjoy the book very much.

At the start of the book under Author's Notes, Tracey mentioned that in history books, there is no evidence that female apothecaries existed. I liked it that Tracey created a female apothecary in her book. As she said "history is full of women and men who stepped outside of society's confining box to make a difference" and "part of the fun of reading fiction is to escape into a different world". Indeed, reading Night Storm brought me into a different world. I was brought back to 1804 London where two lovers reunite after they broke each other's hearts, where a vicious attack requiring medical attention and a puzzling murder brought them back together.

I really liked both Charlotte and Cameron's characters - both strong yet vulnerable at heart. The chemistry between them was great. The suspense of the murder also kept me on my toes and I just couldn't stop reading. Definitely going to read more of Tracey Devlyn's books.
I absolutely loved Night Storm because it was so perfectly filled with mystery, excitement and just the right pinch of longing and love to bring readers a heart thumping good read.
I really liked that the author appreciated the concept of not all is as it seems and all good things are worth the wait, because she fulfills both of them so well.
Cameron and Charlotte are wonderful together. Right from the start you totally feel for them and the journey that they're on and its great how the author brought them back to eachother once again. Love stories with a reunite is always tricky but she pulls it off fabulously.
Night storm is romantic, suspenseful, and vivid. I enjoyed it from beginning to end.
It was good but It didn't hold my attention that much. Are usually read a book a day and this book took me three days
I really enjoyed this book. Beautifully described emotions, interesting plot, very likable heroes, good writing style resulted in five star. I'm looking forward to the next book.
This was an excellent book. It reminded me of a Victoria Holt book. It had murder and mystery and romance. It also wasn't you typical regency as there were no Lords or Ladies. It was a female apothecary and a thief taker. Very well done Trcaey Devlyn and I cant wait for the next in the series to come out.
I almost never read historicals, but couldn't help but get engrossed in both the mystery and the love story in Night Storm. Prior to reading this book, I had no idea what an apothecary did. The author had an amazing ability to communicate the setting and time period through descriptions that were the perfect blend of enough detail to give life to the story without bogging it down with too many extraneous details.The characters were both intriguing because of their chosen professions as well as the story that unfolded between them. And on top of all that, there's a great mystery to be solved. Can't wait for the next in the series.
I love Historical Romance, but I think even if I didn't, I think this book would make me a fan. This story has so much in it that you love in a book. I was sucked into the story quickly and fell in love with the characters. You were cheering them on in different ways, you have a who dun it murder mystery and the past love and if they would be able to reconnect. The pace of the book was perfect and could not put it down. I am looking forward to more of this series! The side characters, especially Jules, need their story told. When I was finished with it I was left feeling energized and so happy. It is a definite MUST read!!!!
