They say that: ‘knowledge is power,’ but how do you transfer, extract or pass the knowledge inside a crystal skull to you? In addition, someone is trying to kill you to prevent you from gaining access to that knowledge. Fortunately, a well known U.S. Government Agency does not want you to disappear, at least not yet. You see, they also want to acquire this knowledge for themselves, which means that they will rescue you from your foes. Yes, this is quite an enticing sequel to Crystal Gift, the first volume.In Crystal Grotto, you are going to ask yourself a logical question: Where does this knowledge come from? Guess what, it may have originated 15,000 years ago in Atlantis or perhaps somewhere in Antarctica, or maybe in the ‘heart of the planet’ inside the Superstition Mountains of the United States. All you got to do is find the place. On the other hand, maybe things are not as difficult as they seem. There’s a solution that I cannot tell you because the author hasn’t mentioned it yet. What I can tell you is that, so far, it has been an intricate and interesting search for the solution. For example, somewhere during this search you are informed by the author that there is “a solitary entity waiting in the darkness for a chance to join the living again.” If that’s not spooky, what is?
Mr. Dennis also provided me with some sentences that I particularly enjoyed, for example: “Until now, I have only known you from your thoughts.” Another, rather philosophical sample, states: “You may not gain fame and fortune, but you can work, grow old, and retire. Isn’t that what life is all about?” Or a funny one, when a sheriff, trying to enforce his authority over government officials who are paying no attention whatsoever to him as they take away his prisoner, says: “He is still my prisoner.… The investigation is still open. I want access to him. He can’t leave town.”
The first word that comes to my mind when thinking about Crystal Grotto is “intriguing.” As you know, there is a third volume in this series, which I intend to start reading tomorrow. I believe you’ll enjoy this one, it gets five stars. Jake Taylor

What secrets of the ancients, their technology, their way of life are to be unleashed by finding the proper home for the Crystal Skulls? Are the skulls the key to so many wonders that would so improve the world; and if they are, who wouldn't want to control them; to have them in their proper place sharing those wonders? Just how would that be done, and by whom? And for what reasons?
Jake continues to try to protect Dennis, Susan, Gary, and baby Janet. He has help from the CIA, ah, but could someone there be working for the enemy, for the Tri-Lateral Consortium? Could there be a mole in place in the CIA? Who can, who cannot, be trusted? Jake can only be sure of loyalty from one source to protect these people, and she has four legs!
What would such a group as the TLC, devoted only to their own power and profits do with such knowledge? Doesn't seem their concern would be for the good of all as we are all too aware these days.
How can Susan, Gary, and Dennis work to extract such vast knowledge when under constant threat of death or capture by this conglomerate, or perhaps a renegade CIA agent? How can Jake protect them and their child against all odds when he doesn't know who might be working against his best efforts?
The Crystal Grotto continues this fast paced adventure as the team tries to bring to the world the secrets of the Atlantean civilization. Think solar, think homes made of materials from nature, durable, comfortable seasonally without the energy sources that have caused us so much expense, loss, and destruction of our environment. They are on a race against time, against power and money, against greed, against those they should be able to trust.
